The trend of touch screen cellular devices continues on, but this one is packed into an extremely small design. The Neonode N2 is a product that will appeal to those who are not particularly interested in an iPhone, but like the idea of having a touch-screen interface. This phone could be a bold statement about the future of cellular devices.

What It Is

The Neonode N2 is a tiny phone with major prospects. Similar to the iPhone, the N2 functions almost entirely via touch screen interface. Only one single button is installed on the device.

The N2 packs an MP3 player, a 2-megapixel camera, a miniSD card slot, Bluetooth compatibility, and more in a very small and attractive phone.

What It Does

The N2 adds to an array of touch screen devices that are becoming available to your average consumer. These devices are drastically shrinking in size. The competition should also shrink the cost in the future.

What It's Worth

The price was not announced, but if a person needs to have a touch-screen device that is a worthy iPhone competitor, the N2 could be up to the challenge.

My Thoughts

My next cellular device will likely be operated via touch screen, but that will not be happening for another year. I am expecting that the prices of these devices will drop by then. If CES has brought any insight with regards to what is coming in the future, then I am sure that the prices will be reasonably priced for the average consumer in less than two years.
